(ECC) Library Homepage: Books

The Electronic Card Catalog is a primary resource for finding information in the college library. It tells you whether the library has materials on a particular subject or if it holds a specific title. It will also tell you where the item is located. All materials are identified and located by distinctive classification numbers. These classifications, or call numbers, can be found on the Electronic Card Catalog under the title, or, when you click on the title, it will provide the information in a different format. Students can make a note of the call number, or they can place it in a cart and print off the cart list or items may be placed on hold.

Students are able to access the Electronic Card Catalog on their phone, tablet, laptop or a desktop computer.

Each entry in the Electronic Card Catalog will give the author, place of publication, the name of the publisher and the publication date. The number of pages and whether it has illustrations, portraits, or maps are usually noted. These are important factors when selecting materials.
