This research guide will cover:
- Evaluating resources using the CRAAP Test.
- How to use the library databases to find articles for your assignment.
- Google Search tips.
As you start your research, consider:
- Is your topic too broad or too narrow? If you want to write about "nutrition," there's way more out there than you can cover in a short paper. If you want to write about whether artificial sweeteners are safe and healthy, that's probably a more manageable topic.
- Will you be able to find resources on your topic? Start looking early -- we can request books and articles from other libraries, but you should allow about ten days for them to arrive.
